Leaf Fall
By Ashley

Fall, one of my absolute favorite times of the year, has come late to the Bay Area. About three weeks ago, the leaves decided to give up their hues of green and don the fabulous shades of dusty gold and burnt orange, and they are just now beginning to fall. I don’t know about you, but I love to watch leaves fall. I find the elegant, silent way they perform their dance toward the ground spirit-lifting and calming all at the same time. I particularly love to watch as a vast ensemble drifts and floats and plays together. Some refer to it as a leaf fall.

As I was walking my dog the other day, I came upon one of these leaf falls. I stopped, smiled, took a deep breath, and relished the simple and beautiful moment. It was so nice to be totally taken by surprise by such a lovely gift from Mother Nature. I encourage you, especially during this crazy, fun, and bustling season, to stop and enjoy something that lifts your spirit and calms your soul. It could be man-made, it could be nature-made, or, heck, it could be a little of both. Whatever it is, take a moment to stop and appreciate it…really appreciate it. You’ll end up enjoying it and your day that much more!

Sending lots of love!
